Level
In the first level songs you’ve learned that it’s easier to understand groups of notes, in stead of single notes. The same goes for songs that are written in musical notes! It is very difficult to understand a lot of single notes.
Often you may see a slur below or above a group of notes. Such a slur indicates that these notes belong together. Compare it with reading letters and words. Rtjigbsev is much more difficult to remember than the word 'spagghetti', that also has 9 letters. With notes it’s the same. It’s much easier to remember notes if you know which 'word' is written. Just watch and listen to the beginning of Jurassic Park (click on one of the images). As soon as you recognise the groups, understanding the notes will become much easier to you. In this version of Jurassic Park these groups are mixed in many different ways.
In Pimba the words slur, group and phrase a have the same meaning.
